North Okanagan Wildfire
The B.C Wildfire Service continues to work on a small fire which they now describe as 18 km east of Armstrong.
The Bobby Burns Road fire was spotted on Saturday, near Mabel Lake. It's being held at .8 hectares,
Taylor MacDonald with the Wildfire Service says six fire staff were on scene Monday.
While the service originally said the fire was human caused. MacDonald says that at the moment it appears to have been lightning-caused. A storm rolled through the area on Friday night.
A new wildfire was sparked in the North Okanagan on the weekend.
The small fire was discovered on Saturday near Bobby Burns Road east of Mabel Lake. It is just under one hectare in size and believed to be human caused. The fire service says the fire is being held.
It is one of 5 new fires in the Kamloops Fire Centre on the weekend.
