Rally outside Sagmoen bail hearing
A group of protesters gathered on the steps of the Vernon Courthouse yesterday during the brief bail hearing for Curtis Sagmoen.
The hearing was put over until this afternoon for Sagmoen who is facing several charges including disguising face with intent to commit offence, and uttering threats and possession of a controlled substance.
The charges stem from an incident where he allegedly threatened a sex trade worker on Salmon River Road.
The rally outside the courthouse was in support of missing North Okanagan women, Ashley Simpson, Deanna Wertz, Caitlin Potts, Nicole Bell and 18-year-old Traci Genereaux, whose remains were found on the Silver Creek farm owned by Sagmoen’s family.
No charges have been laid in her death.
