RCMP Looking for witnesses in Assault with a Weapon, Enderby

On August 2, just before 4am, the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP responded to an assault with a weapon where one male victim was allegedly stabbed at a local pit-party in the rural Enderby area. After the incident occurred the injured male was transported closer to the city of Enderby by friends, where they were met by emergency first responders. BC Ambulance Service treated the male, for what appeared to be serious stab wounds, and transported him to the nearest medical facility. 

Vernon North Okanagan RCMP’s, rural General Investigative unit has assumed conduct of the investigation, which remains in the preliminary stages, says RCMP Cst. Kelly Brett. Given the extent of the victims’ injuries police are seeking additional information surrounding the events leading up to the incident.

The victim, a 43 year old West Kelowna man, remains in hospital at this time, however is expected to recover.
