Record Breaking Snow at Silver Star

Winter isn't quite done with us yet, Vernon woke up to more snow Thursday morning.

Silver Star Mountain Resort has the stats to prove just what kind of winter it has been with the cumulative total at 637 cm.

The Star's Oscar Gordon says the resort recorded its largest snowfall in 68 years -  since it took measurements in 1950.

Gordon says, "you can barely see the tops of light posts and street signs are poking out of snowbanks!"

Environment Canada Meteorologist, Cindy Yu says the recent cold snap from last month made it feel like a longer winter.
