Sagmoen in Court

A man accused of threatening a woman with a gun during an incident in the North Okanagan last summer has chosen trial by a Supreme Court judge.

Thirty-seven-year-old Curtis Sagmoen faces seven charges -- including pointing a firearm and uttering threats -- in connection to the August incident.  His arrest prompted a warning to the general public and sex trade workers to use precautions for their safety around Salmon River Road.

Sagmoen did not enter a plea during his video appearance in Vernon provincial court. His next appearance is set for January 26th, when a bail hearing is to be scheduled.
