Silver Star Hosts Cross Country Association

The 2017 Annual Cross Country Association Conference is at Silver Star Mountain Resort this week.

The conference is scheduled to host over 20 ski resorts from across North America. This year's event will be packed with interactive grooming, maintenance and snowmaking elements as well as fat bike, hospitality, and capital expenditure seminars. The purpose of the conference is to share best practices among the cross country ski community and its operators. The convention committee has created a packed agenda with great educational opportunities and a new twist this year, one-on-one meeting opportunities with several of the presenters to review individual resorts specifics. The conference is also scheduled to include breakout sessions where members will have the opportunity to shape the future CCSAA standards for fat biking, trail reporting and ski patrol and safety.

With over 55km of trails at SilverStar and an additional 50km of connecting trails when combined with Sovereign Lake Nordic Center, this year's conference will have access to Canada's largest network of daily groomed cross-country trails.
'We are pleased to host this event and welcome other area owners and operators from around North America' said Shane Landreville, Nordic Manager at SilverStar. 'This is an opportunity for us to learn from others in the industry and discover a new way of doing things to continue to develop and deliver a great cross country skiing experience.'  The event is April 4 & 5.
