It's raining ash. Many Okanagan residents are waking up to a thin layer of ash covering their vehicles and outdoor furniture as a cloud of wildfire smoke continues to envelop us.
The smoke forecast calls for a gradual clearing of skies throughout the day today. Most of the smoke and ash is coming up from a large wildfire burning near the border in Washington State.
There is an air quality advisory in effect for most of southern BC. In the air quality this morning in Vernon is ranked as a 3, which is a low risk to health.
