State of Emergency remains in effect for Armstrong
A State of Emergency remains in effect in Armstrong due to a rise in creek levels after the weekend rain and warm weather.
City crews have reduced level of flood water entering Meighan Creek, but Deep Creek continues to rise.
The city is also working with crews in Spallumcheen monitoring the outflow to Otter Lake.
The state of Emergency will remain in effect until at least Friday, May 4th
An evacuation order also remains effect for a dozen properties at Killiney Beach on Westside Road.
Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure workers are currently doing draining work on site, after a landslide was caused by groundwater saturation.
