Truck Fire

Prep and training are being credited for the quick response to a fire Sunday night in Okanagan Landing.

Firefighters says they arrived on scene at Foster Road around 7:20 p.m. to find a Dodge truck fully involved in flames.   "Every day our team is training, preparing and responding to calls for assistance to protect the safety of our community," said Vernon chief David Lind. "This is an example of the good work our firefighters provide."

The vehicle's owner was on scene and the cause of the fire was determined to be accidental.
