A go fund me campaign has been set up to help a Vernon family get their son home.

Janet and Luiz Araujo both live and work at Predator Ridge. Luiz as a Predator Ridge home checker, block watch captain and firesmart organizer.  Janet works with Sothebys
Their son Matthew, currently travelling in Portugal had a serious fall July 1. He seriously fractured his foot which likely will not be saved. His tailbone and pelvis are broken, along with several vertebrae.

He is in extreme agony in a hospital in Portugal. He has no medical insurance. Janet and Luiz flew out immediately and are by his side. Once he's stable they are hoping to air ambulance him home for further treatment here in B.C. Their friends and neighbours are launching a Go Fund Me page to help bring Matthew back home. Any donation is welcome.

Monday morning the campaign was at almost 30-thousand of their 50-thousand dollar goal.
