Vernon Skiers Found
A group of five skiers from the Vernon area spent a little longer than they planned at the Revelstoke Resort, when they became lost during an outing Tuesday.
Revelstoke RCMP Staff Sergeant Kurt Grubinsky says the group skied out of bounds and became lost, but managed to return to the resort boundary and take shelter in a hut.
Grubinsky says searches are always easier if skiers and hikers leave a tentative route plan so rescuers have a starting point. He says it's becoming common for people to get lost from the resort:
They were found safe, just after midnight.
