Walk for Missing Local Women
A walk to honour and raise awareness of local missing and murdered women will take place tomorrow. Police are investigating the disappearances of Ashley Simpson, Deanna Wertz and Caitlin Potts.
The families of the three and all missing in a 30 KM radius of Splatsin First Nation make a plea from their family to the public for assistance and to help bring info forward information on their loved ones disappearance.
Jody Leon I will have all three families of the murdered and missing women who went missing from the Splatsin First Nation together tomorrow and they would like to together make a plea to the public to help them bring the missing women home or give information in their missing loved ones.
The families will be walking a 118 KM awareness walk over three separate parts where the three women were last seen alive so that their loved daughter's will not be forgotten and any information that is helpful will come forward to RCMP Major Crimes Unit .
Ashley Simpson, Deanna Wertz and Caitlin Potts all had active searches by family and friends and will have a final community search for Caitlin Potts at Splatsin First Nation where she was last living at Mabel Lake said Jody Leon event organizer for the MMIWG walks for the three women missing from the traditional territory of the Splatsin First Nation. The families of all three women will be making a public plea for information on their loved ones whereabouts and information on their whereabouts.
The walk starts at 7am Saturday on Yankee Flats Road.
