Bacon Beef Barley Soup

Ingredients: 
- 2 pounds of stewing beef small diced cubes
- 6 to 8 pieces of bacon diced 
- 1.5 cups diced carrots 
- 1 cup of celery diced 
- 1 cup of onion diced 
- 1 cup diced mushrooms 
- 3 cloves of garlic minced
- 1/3 cup tomato paste 
- 2/3 cup of pearl barley 
- 7 to 8 cups of beef broth 
- 2 bay leaves 
- 1/3 cup parsley diced 

Directions: 
- in a large pot cook bacon half way then add cubed stewing beef, cook until beef and bacon is done 
- add veggies and garlic, and steam for 5 minutes with beef 
- add bay leaves and tomato paste 
- add beef broth and bring to a boil then turn down and simmer for a couple hours
