B.C. Paramedics Petition for Essential Service
Local paramedics are seeking signatures on an initiative petition to amend the Fire and Police Services Collective Bargaining rights act to give paramedics the same collective bargaining rights as firefighters and police officers. Currently paramedics in BC are not deemed as an essential service.

"With just over 3 weeks remaining in the tight time period they are giving an all-out effort to get the required 4750 signatures in the Vernon Monashee electoral district and 4091 for Shuswap. We encourage everyone who hasn't signed to come out to one of the signing events for the balance of March"

Thursdays Save On Foods, Village Green Centre 10-2 and 4-6pm
