Big Crowd Expected to Support Gymnastic Club

A large crowd is expected for today's Regional District of North Okanagan meeting.  On the agenda is the Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics club's use of a building on East Vernon Road because of zoning issues.

The original recommendation was that the board not  legalize the use of the building for a gym, but RDNO Chairperson Bob Fleming believes they've come up with a compromise but  approval must also come from the Agricultural Land Commission.

Owner, former Olympian,  Camille Martens says it has been a heart wrenching two year nightmare, but she says the community support has been beautiful and heart warming.

Fleming says he's had about 40 emails from parents and has moved the item to the top of today's agenda.
