More New Wildfires

B-C wildfire officials say there is no end in sight to raging wildfires raging, a month after a province wide state of emergency was issued.  Lightning sparked another 15 fires on Sunday,

There were two new fires in the Okanagan yesterday.

Residents say a fire broke out near Highway 97 & Crystal Waters Road in Oyama around 11pm Monday night. Thanks to a group effort, bottled water, coolers of water, fire extinguishers, plus stomping and handfuls of dirt being thrown on the small fire had it almost out before the fire department arrived.

Fire crews in Osoyoos have been battling a grass fire.    The fire is near Highway 3, and by Tuesday morning was 60-percent contained.
