RDNO Supports Gym
It was a packed house as the community came out to support the Okanagan Rhythmic Gymnastics club at Wednesday's RDNO meeting.
The gym on East Vernon Road was in jeopardy of being shut down because of zoning issues. The regional district voted in favour of allowing non-farm use on the property and now the application now goes to the agricultural land commission for their approval.
Owner, former Olympian, Camille Martens says she's so grateful for the fabulous support from the community and the unanimous vote after a two year nightmare. Martens is hopeful with the board's endorsement and the fact they're not changing the footprint they will get ALC approval to continue.
