Snow continues to dump on highways

RCMP are warning drivers to slow down on the roads this morning.

Area highways remain dangerous and a snowfall warning remains in effect for the Coquihalla which has had upwards of 20 cm in the last day and more to come today.

Conditions were so dangerous Tuesday morning, police closed a section of Highway 97 just south of Vernon.

There are no reports of serious injuries, but Vernon RCMP say at least 10 crashes occurred Tuesday.

Environment Canada is forecasting 2 cm of snow for topday with a chance of both flurries and rain showers for the next several days.
