Well, I had another jam packed weekend in Kelowna and the Okanagan and can't wait for another fun packed weekend.

Everyday this week, was Bike To Work Week, and Friday marked the end of the event, with a Wrap Party outside Prospera Place. Live music, beer, cider, food and ice-cream was on the menu for the cyclist who took part throughout the week. Including the grand 'Throw a Tire on a Traffic Cone' Final, which actually got everyone really hooked. I just hope this week has encouraged more people (if possible) to get out there on their bike, whether it's for work or fun, to make this world a better place.

I ventured further afield this time, as I headed out to Summerland for this years Action Festival. The morning started with a pancake breakfast (with Blueberry's, yum) and then I was invited to be part of the Parade with the Fun Seeker Car. We had Live Music on the Timber-Mart Main Stage with some great Bands, playing tribute to artist such as Eagles, Heart and Johnny Cash. Everyone brought their deck chairs to sit and watch in the sunshine, which reminded of The Wimbledon Tennis Tournament back home in England.

In the morning I began my day with a workout at Orange Theory Fitness. I can't recommend this place enough. The friendly staff, with the fun workout routine, and the awesome equipment, makes it a place to want to come back to. They give you a heart monitor that reads your heart rate, tells you the calories your burning, and gives you 'splat points', based on your overall progress. In my first ever session I got 15 points. This time round I hit 23!! #proud It's not like other workouts or gyms, where you feel you have compete with others. Your score is based on you, which means you only compete against yourself to become healthire, fitter and stronger.

FYI. I have coupons for a free session at OTF, so when you see me out and about, make sure you pick one up.

I also wanted to get out in Kelowna on this day and experience an event that people could go to on a weekly basis. So I went to The Kelowna Art Gallery, for Family Sunday. It's a great event where you can come and learn new art techniques, while embracing your creativity. And for $5 per person, I highly recommend giving this a try. It's not just for kids either, I found many adults getting involved as well, which makes this a great, good priced event for all the Family. It's every Sunday form 12pm-4pm, so check it out!
