Weekend In Review: June 14-16
Friday was drive in movie night at South Rutland elementary school! The evening started off with games, bouncy castles and the best cardboard box cars I have ever seen. There was a convertible with Two steering wheels, TWO! And believe me; the children explained the method to their madness. Turns out, if the wheels are turning opposite ways it doesn’t matter because it’s not a real car. Good to know. As the sun set and the giant inflatable movie screen went up everyone for cozy with their families waiting for Wonderpark to start.
Saturday was such an awesome day. I went in my first (and last) dunk tank as much by choice as I was mildly pressured by my new friend Sierra. Needless to say she REALLY wanted to dunk me. This was all happening at the BC and Yukon Easter Seals Camp Winfield fundraiser. The weather was awesome for this event and the dunk tank was a hit. Bouncy castles, cotton candy machines and face painting went on all day. I didn’t get my face painted but I did get an Ogopogo balloon animal!
Sunday was Father’s Day and the annual Boyd Autobody and Glass Car Show. I was back home in Ontario but Mandy got in on all the action. It looked like such a fun day and a perfect way to end the weekend celebrating Dad. I wish my car was as cool as some of the ones that were there. I mean now with my newer car, (new to me) I can have the A/C on AND accelerate at the same time. If that’s not class I don’t know what is.
