  • Fredericton Grand-Masters Basketball League

    The sixth season of the Fredericton Grand-Masters Basketball League is ready to start every Thursday evening with the first games on October 19. The first season continues until early January with playoffs and then a second season runs until April when Provincial age-class Basketball Championships are played. This is a semi-competitive, safe, refereed, very friendly and social League for players aged 44 and older. Teams are drafted after all players are registered to insure competitive fairness between all Teams. Cost is about $150 plus a jersey for the season. All games are played at the new gym in the Wesleyan Church on Duncan Lane on Thursday evenings. The League is looking for new players, hoping to get 9-10 players per Team.     Ever wonder what the sport of Ringette is all about? Want to see a fantastic Fredericton youth recreational sport group in action? The Fredericton Youth Ringette Association will be hosting it’s annual “Early Bird Tournament” on November 17-19. The Early Bird Tournament is the largest ice surface tournament held annually in Fredericton. It includes over 60 teams from all across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island with over 100 games played on five ice surfaces.
