  • Halloween BBQ Corn Fest

    Hey folks, Come on out, and join in, for a spooky night under the moon! Moon Breeze Crafts will be hosting a Halloween BBQ Corn Fest on Saturday, October 20th, 2018 from 4pm to 9pm at the Legislative Assembly on Queen Street. We are hosting this event to help a local family in need. Rain date is Sunday, October 21st. It will be a family friendly event, with lots of children’s games, live entertainment, BBQ Corn on the cob, and drinks. We are partnering with the Fredericton CROSSOVERS to do an auction, and a Dead Man’s Treasure Hunt (with real gems, jewelry, and a Sapphire Ring)! The event is planned to have the following: • BBQ corn and cold drinks for sale • Live entertainment • Merchandise and Sponsor tables • Local vendors • Kid’s Costume Contest @ 6pm (Judged by the crowd) List of ticketed events: Admission by donation and each event will be run similar to carnival games. 1.     Fredericton’s Grandmother Helping Grandmothers benefit dance, with the awesome dance band JukeBox Live, will be held October 26, 2018 from 8:30 p.m. to midnight at the Crowne Plaza Hotel. Tickets are $30.00 and are available at Westminster Books, King Street, Jean Coutu Pharmacy, Devon Plaza or by calling 472 1767. Proceeds from this event go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation and Help Lesotho, supporting African Grandmothers raising grandchildren orphaned due to AIDs and HIV.

    Warm Up for Winter Craft Sale planned by Artful Persuasion which is a Crafter's Collective at 80 York street in Downtown Fredericton. This is a local and handmade craft fair with all participants bringing a variety of handmade wares to the show. The date is October 27th at the Knights of Columbus Hall on Regent st( which is beside the Boyce Farmers Market and the hours are 9-2. At this show we launch some of our fundraising for the Fall/Winter season for Opal Family Services and pass out information about the program.
