2 people arrested following jewellery theft in Bouctouche

RCMP say two people are in custody following a jewellery store theft in New Brunswick earlier in March.

Police say necklaces, watches and other goods were taken during a break-in at the store on March 5 in Bouctouche.

Officers recovered a large amount of stolen property as well as a loaded firearm when they arrested the suspects at a motel in Lutes Mountain three days later.

The Mounties say Justin Roberts, 27, and Ashel Tamie Lynn Ward, 27, are charged with break, enter and theft and are being held pending a court appearance in Moncton Provincial Court at a later date.
