Annual sugar bush event at Kings Landing
The Kings Landing Historical Settlement near Fredericton is holding its annual sugar bush event over the next two weekends.
The event, now into its 34th year, has become a fun spring tradition for those living in the area.
Organizers say the highlight for many will be the 19th-century sugaring demonstration with the sweet taste of maple candy on the snow.
There will also be encampments in the village, traditional cooking and children's activities, and even snowshoeing and sleigh rides.
Events run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day and admission is $12 per family, $7 per adult and $3.50 per child.
There's also a pancake breakfast each day from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. to raise money for York Sunbury Search and Rescue.
The breakfast is $11 per adult and $8 per child.
