Arrests made, drugs seized in Lakeville

The RCMP says a quantity of marijuana and contraband cigarettes has been seized in two separate searches in southeastern New Brunswick.

Police say the force's Crime Reduction Unit executed search warrants at two houses in Lakeville last Friday and arrested two suspects who are not believed to be connected.

A 42-year-old woman was taken into custody in a raid where police also found a quantity of methamphetamine while a 40-year-old man was arrested after a search warrant was executed at another home later that afternoon.

Both have been released on a promise to appear in Moncton Provincial Court in November.
