Campground owner reacts to property tax spikes
A New Brunswick campground owner says recent property tax spikes are going to kill the industry.
Ed Innis of Miramichi's Sunrise Campground tells the Miramichi Leader his tax bill ballooned from a $4,500 in 2015 to $11,200 this year.
Innis says the increases will ruin the industry because the extra cost will likely be passed on to campers.
A Service New Brunswick spokesperson says prior to this year, campgrounds were last assessed in 2003.
