Canadian music icons hitting Fredericton stage in September

Three Canadian musical icons, including folk legend Bruce Cockburn, will take the stage at this year's Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton.

Festival Organizers say Halifax born rockers Sloan and singer-songwriter Martha Wainwright have also been added to the lineup.

Rising roots-rock star Terra Lightfoot, who has shared the stage with Emmylou Harris and Blue Rodeo, will make her Harvest debut, opening for Cockburn.

New Brunswick's largest music festival will take place in a number of downtown venues Sept. 12-17, and will also feature Colin James and Steve Earle and the Dukes

The festival's music director, Brent Staeben, says these are bucket-list performers and it's excting to share these names with local music fans.

The full lineup will be released May 11.
