Chase the Ace fever rises in New Brunswick community

Chase the Ace fever is rising in a New Brunswick community with the pot for Wednesday night's draw standing at more than 140-thousand dollars.

There are five cards left in the fundraiser in St. Stephen for the Fundy Region Transition House, which offers housing and support to victims of domestic violence.

The holder of the winning ticket gets 20 per cent of the pot and a chance to win it all by drawing the ace of spades from remaining cards.

Chase the Ace fundraisers are popular in Atlantic Canada with one contest last year in Goulds, Newfoundland drawing long line-ups before a couple finally drew the winning card worth 2.6-million dollars.
