City says special household garbage collection to be held for residents impacted by flooding

A special household garbage collection will be provided by the City of Fredericton for residents impacted by flooding.

A news release from the City says a Fero truck will be stationed at the intersection of Carman Avenue and Collwell Drive from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Monday.

The service will be available for those who are affected by road closures and will not receive curbside collection as a result.

Residents are asked to only bring bags or wheeled carts to the truck.

The release says this service does not include recyclable materials, adding that it's only for regular household garbage.

A separate collection for flood damaged material will be held later in May.
