Cyclist struck and killed by vehicle in northeastern N.B.

Police say a 64-year-old man has died after being struck by a pick-up truck in northeastern New Brunswick last week.

In a news release on Wednesday, Mounties said the crash happened on Boulevard J.D. Gauthier in Shippagan around 8 a.m. Friday.

The cyclist — who was from Shippagan — died from his injuries in hospital the following day.

Police said it's not believed the driver of the pick-up was at fault, and charges are not anticipated.
