Downtown Fredericton fire deemed arson: police
A suspicious fire that destroyed a downtown Fredericton home in July is now being treated as arson.
Emergency crews were called to the 300-block of Brunswick Street, between Westmorland and York streets, on the evening of July 31.
The Fredericton Police Force deemed the fire as suspicious a few days later, and now say it's being treated as arson.
Officials have said the fire started at the rear of the building, which was vacant at the time.
