Driver fined during snowstorm on unplowed road

Not many people were out in the storm the other night, and with good reason, as most roads and highways were snow-covered and police were advising motorists to stay home.

But, one driver thought they could plow through anything in Charlotte County...They did try and it cost them!

In a tweet, the Mounties say they issued a $172.50 ticket on Route 1 in Pennfield Wednesday night.

The motorist passed an RCMP vehicle, two snowplows, tailgated a car, cut off another and passed two cars on the right while driving 110 km/h on an unplowed road.

Luckily, no one was hurt!
