Drugs seized from visitor at N.B. prison

One person is facing charges after trying to smuggle drugs into a medium security New Brunswick prison.

Correctional Service Canada says staff members confiscated several packages from a visitor at Dorchester Penitentiary on Monday.

Among the items seized were 41.2 grams of hydromorphone beads, with an estimated value of more than $2,000.

The visitor was arrested by the RCMP and is facing charges.
