Emergency preparedness exercise Wednesday at the Fredericton Airport

An emergency preparedness exercise will be held at the Fredericton International Airport Wednesday from 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Fredericton International Airport Authority (FIAA) says they'll be testing the coordinated response of all facets of the emergency response system in the event of a major incident.

The public will see emergency vehicles and personnel, including police and firefighters, at the airport, as well as smoke on the airfield.

The FIAA says the exercise is not open to the public, and regular flights will not be impacted.
