Family of 3 rescued from woods in southwestern N.B.

A family of three is safe after being rescued from a wooded area in southwestern New Brunswick.

Mounties say they received a 911 call around 11 p.m. Monday after the family's utility-terrain vehicle broke down near Utopia.

Cpl. Chris Henderson said there was concern for the family's well-being as the overnight temperature was forecast to drop well below freezing.

Henderson said the man, woman and boy were found walking along a trail in a remote area near Route 585 about five hours later.
