Federal and provincial governments investing $860,000 in oyster production company

The federal and provincial governments have announced an $860,000 investment in a New Brunswick oyster production company.

Government says La Maison BeauSoleil, a Neguac-based company, will use the money to make upgrades to its operations, introduce new technology and automated processes to help the company meet growing demand for its products, and create jobs.

The federal government is providing a repayable contribution of $500,000, while the province is investing $300,000 in the project.

Maison BeauSoleil will also receive $60,000 from the federal government to hire a marketing consultant to develop a plan aimed at increasing the company's exports to China and Hong Kong.
