Federal government investing in New Brunswick wind technology projects
The federal government has announced a more than $235,000 investment in two wind technology projects.
A news release from the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) says the investment will help Sentrex Wind Services Inc., a Quispamsis company, grow and continue its work as an innovator in the commercial wind energy industry.
The first project will see over $123,000 invested for the purchase of sonic detection and ranging equipment and the construction of a test tower to enhance the regions wind energy knowledge.
The news release says the company will also receive over $112,000 in funding to undertake marketing activities for its remote sensing technologies.
The funds for both projects are repayable contributions provided through ACOA’s business development program.
