Former federal cabinet minister seeking nomination to run as provincial Tory in N.B. fall election
Former federal cabinet minister Keith Ashfield is seeking a nomination to run as a provincial Tory in the fall election in New Brunswick.
A release says Ashfield plans to run in Oromocto-Lincoln-Fredericton if the party nominates him.
Ashfield was defeated in the last federal election.
The Oromocto-Lincoln-Fredericton seat became vacant when current progressive conservative MLA Jody Carr announced he wouldn't be running again.
