Four people displaced in northwestern N.B. fires
A pair of weekend fires in northwestern New Brunswick has left four people temporarily homeless, according to the Canadian Red Cross.
A man and woman were displaced after fire broke out in their home on Grand River Road in Saint-Léonard just after midnight Saturday night.
The woman was treated in hospital for burns, and the couple are awaiting a damage assessment by insurers.
Meanwhile, two men were forced out by a fire on Theriault Road in Sainte-Anne-de-Madawaska over the noon hour Monday.
They are staying with relatives for now.
