Fredericton extends agreement with HotSpot Parking for one year
Fredericton city council has extended its agreement with local start-up HotSpot Parking for another year.
The company allows customers to pay for parking simply by using an app on their phone.
Fredericton has been in partnership with HotSpot Parking since 2013, and city staff say the number of users is approaching 7,000.
Staff also say that parking meter revenue has increased continuously since the partnership began, and the number of parking tickets continues to drop.
