The Fredericton Fire Department has appointed a new deputy chief.

Chief Paul Fleming has announced that Platoon Captain Dwayne Killingbeck has been appointed to the position.

The Fredericton Fire Department hired Killingbeck as a firefighter in September 1996 and he was subsequently appointed through the ranks, to Lieutenant, Captain, and finally, Platoon Captain.
