Fredericton Indoor Pool to close for maintenance, lighting upgrades
The Fredericton Indoor Pool will be closed later this month due to annual maintenance and lighting upgrades.
The City of Fredericton says all of the pool's old lighting fixtures will be replaced or retrofitted with new energy efficient LED fixtures.
The City estimates the total cost of the project to be just under $89,000, but it also estimates the upgrades will lead to savings of around $8,700 annually in utility expenses.
The Fredericton Indoor Pool annual maintenance shutdown will also be completed during this period, which will include the pool being drained, cleaned, and refilled.
The closure begins August 20th and will continue until September 1st.
