Fredericton looking for artists

The City of Fredericton is calling on local artists to create a concept design on an 18-foot Chestnut canoe for this year's Canada Day celebrations.

Fredericton Tourism will select a local artist to design a paint-by-numbers concept featuring: iconic Fredericton landmarks, along with elements of New Brunswick and Canada; outline the artwork on the canoe; and work with the public to paint the canoe during Canada Day celebrations in Barracks Square.

The budget for this project is $2,800, plus materials.

Artists must email their submission to maryellen.hudson@fredericton.ca by 5 p.m. on June 18.

You can find more info on the city's website.
