Fredericton man makes waves in hockey world

An 18-year-old man from Fredericton has gained some significant recognition from the hockey world.

Logan Johnston has been named to Team Canada East for the upcoming Canadian Junior Hockey League Top Prospects Game on Jan. 25.

Johnston has also been named to the latest Central Scouting rankings for the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

He's listed as a "C" rated prospect, which indicates him as a potential fourth to sixth round selection.

The 2017 NHL Entry Draft will take place in Chicago from June 23 to 24.

Johnston, a forward with the Maritime Hockey League's Dieppe Commandos, is in his first season with the league.
