Fredericton man to be sentenced in fatal impaired driving case

A man who pleaded guilty to impaired driving causing the death of a woman in Fredericton last June will be sentenced April 12th.

Marc-Andre Doucet who said he'd never be able to forgive himself, apologized to the family of 24-year-old Jennifer Brewer after he entered the plea in court yesterday.

Brewer's body was recovered from the St. John River after the car Doucet was driving hit a rock, rolled and went off the road in downtown Fredericton.

The prosecution is asking for Doucet to receive a four-year sentence.
