Fredericton police say man wanted on Canada-wide warrant arrested

The Fredericton Police Force says a 24-year-old Kingsclear First Nation man, who was wanted on a Canada-wide warrant, has been arrested.

Dustin Sacobie was arrested without incident in Fredericton around 3:40 p.m. on Thursday.

He had been charged with aggravated assault, unlawful confinement, robbery, and break and enter on February 2nd, and the warrant was subsequently issued for his arrest.

Police say the charges stem from a violent home invasion that took place on the Kingsclear First Nation on December 18th, 2017.

Sacobie was scheduled to appear in court this morning.
