Fredericton police say two facing charges after drug warrant executed on city's northside

The Fredericton Police Force says a 43-year-old man and a 49-year-old woman are facing several drug and property related charges. 

The pair was arrested after a Controlled Drug and Substances Act warrant was executed at a home on Fredericton's Northside on Friday. 

The man faces several charges, including nine counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in controlled substances, one weapon related offence, one count of proceeds of crime, a charge of breach of a prohibition order, possession of stolen property charges, and a charge under the Tobacco Tax Act. 

The woman, who has been released on a promise to appear in court at a later date, faces possible charges of nine counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking in controlled substances, one weapon related offence, possession of stolen property charges, a charge under the Tobacco Tax Act, and one count of proceeds of crime. 

The investigation is ongoing.
