Fredericton Pride Week begins on Friday
Organizers of this year's Pride Week in Fredericton are gearing up for a busy few days.
Events begin Friday with a flag-raising in front of City Hall at 11:45 a.m.
That's the same area where the city's first rainbow crosswalk was painted earlier this week.
The annual Pride Festival and Parade take place in downtown Fredericton on Sunday afternoon.
The parade will leave the parking lot behind the Royal Canadian Legion on Queen Street at 1 p.m. and make its way to Officers Square, where the festival is happening from noon until 5 p.m.
Several other events are also taking place during the week-long celebration, including panels, a dance, music nights, board game nights, and a movie night in Officers' Square.
Pride Week continues until next Friday, and you can find the full list of events on their Facebook page.
