Fuel prices expected to rise in New Brunswick

Drivers in New Brunswick should expect a bit of a pain at the pumps and get a fill-up today if needed.

Industry analysts are predicting a jump in fuel prices  after a few weeks of relief.

When the Energy and Utilities Board makes their weekly adjustment at midnight tonight, gas could rise by at least 3 cents with diesel increasing by about a cent per litre.

The current maximum for regular-self serve gas is $1.28.8 and diesel is set at $1.32.4 cents per litre, with most retailers selling for a few cents less.

While the price of gas is up over a cent from a month ago, compared to a year ago, average prices in the province are almost 22 cents higher.
