Funeral Saturday for former N.B. Mountie killed in car crash
A regimental funeral will be held Saturday for a former New Brunswick Mountie killed in the line of duty in Quebec.
Const. Richer Dubuc died from injuries sustained following a crash between his RCMP vehicle and a farm tractor in Lacolle, near the Canada-U.S. border, on Mar. 6.
The 42-year-old married father of four started his RCMP career with Codiac Regional RCMP in 2009, and had just transferred to the RCMP's border enforcement team in Quebec in January.
His funeral will be held in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec, on Saturday afternoon.
The funeral will be preceded by a procession of RCMP members in uniform, joined by several other police agencies and first responders.
