Heritage Week in New Brunswick

Heritage Week kicks off today in New Brunswick with activities planned throughout the province.

Government says the week has been revamped this year through the addition of a new logo, which features the image of a boat that appears on the provincial wordmark and the provincial flower, a purple violet.

Tourism, Heritage, and Culture Minister John Ames says this new permanent image will allow Heritage Week activities to be quickly identified.

The theme of the week this year is Heritage Now, which aims to encourage people to reflect on the past and use history as a tool to better understand the present.

Heritage Week runs until February 19th.
